Eighteen people met at the Glenwood Branch Library on Saturday (23 Februray) to view Hedrick Smith’s "Street Crime". Conflict Resolution Program Practicum students George Harris, Nancy Feldkamp, Donna Clark, and Dolores Paylor facilitated a discussion – peace dialogue - following the movie. Those in attendance discussed ways to build and strengthen community in Greensboro and the Glenwood neighborhood. This was the first Peace Place presentation in cooperation with the Greensboro Public Library.
Peace Place is a partnership between The University of North Carolina at Greensboro graduate school’s Conflict Resolution Program and the Greensboro Public Library. Graduate students and faculty offer presentations to the community at the six Greensboro branch library sites, the central library, and the UNCG main campus library on conflict, peace, and community issues.
